Join us for a unique confluence of law and theatre to support Delaware Shakespeare as the company prepares for its upcoming 2024 Summer Festival production of Julius Caesar.

This unique event will highlight the theme of justice that runs throughout Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, Julius Caesar. Professional lawyers from the Delaware community will plead the cases of The Conspirators for their murder of Caesar versus The Republic of Rome who now mourn the loss of their beloved ruler, Caesar, while the entire audience serves as the jury.

A collection of professional judges will oversee the proceedings as well as the star-studded live testimonies from Brutus, Cassius, Mark Antony, and Calpurnia (all performed by Del Shakes actors). But it will ultimately be up to the jury to determine which side wins as they “weigh in” with their own votes.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served prior to the program. An exploration in justice, humanity, and conviction, this is sure to be an event you don’t want to miss!
