Black History Month Film Screening — The Six Triple Eight

February 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

February is Black History Month and throughout the month, we’ll be offering film screenings on Saturdays at the Delaware History Museum & Mitchell Center for African American Heritage.

On Saturday, February 22, we present “The Six Triple Eight,” an American war drama about the 6888th Battalion, the Women’s Army Corps’ all-Black Battalion tasked with sorting millions of pieces of backlogged mail to American service members. Written by Tyler Perry and starring Kerry Washington, “The Six Triple Eight” received an Academy Award nomination in the Original Song category for Diane Warren’s ballad “The Journey.”

The screening begins at 1 pm.

Free admission to the Delaware History Museum & Mitchell Center for African American Heritage on Feb 22 for this screening.
