Research Services

Due to the variety of resource material in our collections as well as limited staff resources, a personal visit is strongly encouraged.  For a fee, a preliminary research service is available for those who are unable to visit our library in person. Our research service cannot, in general, exceed 1 hour of investigation. Successful results cannot be guaranteed.

Research Fees:
Delaware Historical Society Members (not a member? click here!)
$20.00 (prepaid) per hour of research
$2.00 minimum (prepaid) for family book index or catalog check for each family name

$30.00 (prepaid) per hour of research
$5.00 minimum (prepaid) for family book index or catalog check of each family name

Regular (8.5 x 11): $.30/page;  11 x 17: $.45/page
Student rate: regular $.25/page;  11 x 17: $.30/page

Microfilm copies: $.30/page; Student rate: $.25

Digital Cameras/Cell-phone cameras:

- $5/day
Member and students
- $7/day non-members
