Whether traveling on foot, by train, plane or automobile, find the information you need to visit the Delaware History Museum, Jane and Littleton Mitchell Center for African American Heritage, Research Library, Old Town Hall, and Willingtown Square on our Wilmington Campus or the Read House & Gardens in historic New Castle, Delaware.

Please note: The Delaware Historical Society Research Library will be closed through March 1, 2019 for maintenance and special projects. While staff are unable to accept online research requests during this period, researchers can access our online catalog, AskCaesar. For your convenience, the library will remain open at the following times:

Mondays beginning January 28 , 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. | Saturday, January 19 and Saturday, February  16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Periodically, the Delaware Historical Society takes photographs and video of visitors and activities for use in promotional and editorial materials.  Upon entering Delaware Historical Society premises, you grant the Delaware Historical Society permission to film and photograph you and your dependents.  Further, you grant the Delaware Historical Society all rights to use the photographs and video for educational, promotional, advertising and other purposes which advance the mission of the Delaware Historical Society.  The Delaware Historical Society owns the rights to the photographs and video.
