Old Town Hall was the first purpose-built structure for Wilmington's government. For more than 100 years, the building served as the center of local government and many community activities. By 1916 city government had outgrown Old Town Hall and sold it to the Delaware Historical Society. Today it is used for rotating exhibitions, meetings and event rentals.
